We will be holding an open call for our upcoming production of Twelfth Night this Friday, February 8th from 10am-2pm. *NON-EQUITY ACTORS ONLY PLEASE* LOCATION: The Studio for Performing Arts, 26 Forest Street, 2nd Floor, New Canaan. Actors of all races, ethnicities, identities, and size encouraged to submit. ORSINO-Male, late early-mid-30’s. An established bachelor. Well educated. Passionate about music and poetry. He believes he is deeply and desperately in love with Olivia; his love is unrequited. He is more in love with being in love than actually in love. Intrigued by and very attracted to Cesario (Viola disguised as a young man). ALL TYPES. Non-AEA. SEBASTIAN- Male, early-mid-30’s. Viola’s twin brother who was separated from her in a shipwreck. Very close to his sister and searching for her. Bold, brave, and confident. Falls in love with Olivia at first sight. ALL TYPES. Non-AEA. SIR ANDREW AGUECHEEK- Male, mid-20’s-30’s. Tall. A knight who bought his title. Believes himself to be sophisticated, worldly, and a splendid dancer. He is quite dim. Spends his time drinking with Sir Toby Belch, Olivia’s uncle. Is Sir Toby’s choice of suitor for Olivia. In addition to vying for Olivia, he plots with Sir Toby against Malvolio. ALL TYPES. Non-AEA. MARIA-Female. Late 20’s and up. Olivia’s waiting-woman. Robust, energetic, fun loving, witty, clever, and cunning. Instrumental in the plot against Malvolio. Is loved by Sir Toby; she may or may not love him back. ALL TYPES. Non-AEA. FESTE- Female. Mid-20’s and up. Olivia’s fool and member of her household. A singer and musician. Performs for Orsino too. Witty, clever.. Not entirely happy with lot in life. Uses wit to spar verbally. Sarcastic. Gleefully cruel to Malvolio. Must be able to sing well. Ability to play guitar, ukulele, accordion a plus. ALL TYPES. Non-AEA. FABIAN/CAPTAIN- Male/Female 20’s and up. Fabian is a member of Olivia’s household. Friends with Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, Maria, and Feste. Involved in plot against Malvolio. Genial and somewhat bland. Seeking an actor who can create a bold and interesting character. The Captain commanded the ship on which Viola and Sebastian were sailing that was destroyed in the storm prior to the start of the play. He is kind and offers to help Viola make her way in Illyria as Cesario. ALL TYPES. Non-AEA.
