Auditions for TOM, DICK AND HARRY AT Town Players
July 15 & 16
NEWTOWN, CT (June 30, 2013) – Town Players of Newtown announces auditions for TOM, DICK AND HARRY by those masters of British farce, Ray and Michael Cooney, on July 15 & 16 from 7:30 – 9 PM.
In this sidesplitting story of three brothers, Tom and his wife are about to adopt a baby. Brothers Dick and Harry are anxious to help make a good impression on the agency representative who has arrived to check on the home and lifestyle of the prospective parents. Unfortunately, Dick, who has stashed boxes of smuggled brandy and cigarettes in the house, and Harry, who is in possession of a cadaver he is planning to sell illegally to a medical school, fail Tom and his wife miserably. The woman from the adoption agency is aghast – and the illegal Croatian aliens who do not speak English are no help at all!
Gene Golaszewski of Brookfield will direct.
The production calls for six men and three women of various ages.
Auditioners should read the play in advance (if possible) and be ready to read sides from the script. All roles are available and are open to both professionals and amateurs alike.
Rehearsals begin the week of July 21. Performances begin September 13, Friday and Saturday evenings, with two Sunday matinees, throughOctober 5, for a total of 10 performances.
