Piedmont Players Theatre is holding Youth Auditions for the THE WIZARD OF OZ, Tuesday, May 31 & Wednesday, June 1, 2016. at 4:30pm & 5:30pm. Callbacks will be held on Thursday, June 2 at 4:30pm. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to audition. Performer should prepare 16 bars from the song of their choice. Must bring sheet music. Performers will be taught a brief dance routine so please dress accordingly.

ABOUT THE SHOW

After a tornado whisks her away to the magical land of OZ, young Dorothy Gale teams up with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman and a Cowardly Lion to find the mighty Wizard of Oz who can send her home. Along the way, they must avoid the clutches of the Wicked Witch of the West, who is trying to steal the mysterious magic slippers that once belonged to her evil sister but are now on Dorothy's feet. Dorothy eventually learns just how magical friendship can be and how wonderful it can feel to go home again. The most beloved tale of all time comes to life on the stage as Dorothy and her three friends trot delightfully and tunefully down that fabled road of yellow brick in The Wizard Of Oz.
