WAUKESHA CIVIC THEATRE ANNOUNCES OPEN AUDITIONS FOR:
The Sound of Music

Open auditions for the Waukesha Civic Theatre’s production of The Sound of Music will be held:
- Saturday, June 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Monday, June 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Callbacks, if needed, will be on Thursday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m.
No appointment is necessary. Auditions will be held at the Waukesha Civic Theatre Building at 264 West Main Street, Waukesha. Those auditioning should prepare 32 bars of music and provide sheet music in their key for the accompanist. Unaccompanied auditions are discouraged. John Cramer is directing. Rehearsals will start in early-to-mid July. If you will not arrive at auditions until 90 minutes after they start, or later, please contact the theatre so the director can be informed.
The classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical brought to life on the Civic stage. Featuring such beloved songs as “Edelweiss” and “My Favorite Things,” The Sound of Music tells the triumphant love story of widower Georg Von Trapp and governess Maria at the dawn of World War II.
All roles are open.
There are four or more roles for men age 20-60. There are seven or more roles for women age 20-60.
There are 3 roles for boys age 7 to 19. There are 5 roles for girls age 5-19.
