THE SECRET GARDEN - Chattanooga Theatre Center
Auditions for The Secret Garden set for July 8 & 9 at the Theatre Centre

Timeless Musical will open CTC’s 90th Season Auditions for The Secret Garden will be held Monday and Tuesday, July 8 and 9, at 7:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. The musical, which will open the 90th season at the CTC in September, has roles for more than 25 actors, including children.A beloved classic of children's literature, The Secret Garden tells an inspirational story of transformation and empowerment. Mary Lennox, a sickly and contrary little girl, is orphaned to dim prospects in a gloomy English manor. Her only friend is a bed-ridden boy named Colin whose prospects may be dimmer than hers. But when Mary finds the key to a Secret Garden, the magical powers of transformation fall within her reach.

Mike Lees will direct the production. He instructs those auditioning to be prepared to sing something that we will teach everyone at auditions so we can hear your vocal range and quality.
Be prepared to read a short piece from the script that you will be given that evening, he added, noting that English accents will be used in this production.
Although most are singing roles, there are a couple of non-singing, speaking roles in the play.
The Secret Garden will open on Friday, September 6, and run for 10 performances through September 22. The Chattanooga Theatre Centre is located at 400 River Street on Chattanooga’s North Shore next to Coolidge Park. For more information, call
