WHAT:
Children’s Auditions for The Nutcracker. José Mateo Ballet Theatre invites aspiring young performers of all ages to audition for the performance opportunity of a lifetime! The Company has embarked on a statewide search for 200 talented children to fill 3 casts in roles of Party Children, Mice, Soldiers, Angels, Court Attendants, Polichinelles, and the lead child role, Clara.
José Mateo Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker is the only local professional production to hold OPEN auditions for young dancers outside its own school.
This holiday season marks the 31st Nutcracker production with performances at The Cutler Majestic Theatre in Boston’s historic Theatre District and Dorchester’s Strand Theatre, November 30-December 23, 2018. All children cast in the production will perform at both theaters.
WANTED:
Children and teenagers ages 6*-18
*Previous dance experience is not required for children ages 6-10
