SEEKING ACTORS FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES
EDWARD (Male, early 20’s) –A warm and trusting person, perhaps too much so. His sheltered life has trained him to always see the best in others, but he will eventually learn that not everything is as black and white as he once believed.
IVAN (Male, early 20’s) –Ivan is the brains to Edward’s muscle. He is a peasant’s son, and yet has been accepted as a friend by the children of the castle because of his keen mind and kind heart. He still harbors resentment towards those that are better off than him.
PRINCESS PRILIPAT (Female, early 20’s) –She is the heir to the throne of the Land of Sweets, and her people love her. While on the surface she appears kind and loving, she is a very shallow girl who can see no further than the beautiful life she is surrounded by.
DROSSELMEIRE (Male, 40-70) –An eccentric older gentleman, a very knowledgeable wizard. He cares little of what others think of him. Although he can come across as a bit abrasive, he has a soft spot underneath, where he can be a very kind and generous man.
MR. STAHLBAUM (Male, 30 –45) –Marie’s father. Mr. Stahlbaum keeps his life neat, orderly, and precise. He dresses very proper, has a very proper job, behaves very proper, and expects the same of his family. He has a very important job which controls not only his attention, but the manner in which he conducts himself.
MRS. STAHLBAUM (Female, Late 20’s –40) –Marie’s mother. She strives to be the perfect wife and mother she is expected to be. She was a dreamer once, as a little girl, but grew up too quickly and put aside her dreams to focus instead on sensible things.

Most actors will be double cast for additional speaking and/or non-speaking roles. Dance or movement experience preferred, but not required.Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to apply. Some actors may be double cast as additional roles.
