LOS ANGELES BALLET TO HOLD CHILDREN’S OPEN AUDITION FOR THE NUTCRACKER 2022

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2022

WHAT: Los Angeles Ballet to hold an open audition for classically trained child ballet dancers for a chance to perform in this season’s production of The Nutcracker.

Pre-register online at losangelesballet.org/child-audition. LAB will follow up with audition status and details. Children invited to attend the audition will be notified by email.

WHO: Boys and Girls 8 to 10 years - Classically trained

Girls 11 to 12 years - Classically trained en pointe with performance experience

WHEN: Sunday, September 18, 2022

Check-in - 9:00 am-10:00 am

Auditions - 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

WHY: Los Angeles Ballet is holding a special audition event for classically

trained children in the Los Angeles area for a chance to join the cast of LAB's popular production of The Nutcracker. There are over 20 child dancer roles to be cast for this season’s production. The auditions will be held at the iconic Dolby Theatre, home of the Academy Awards and LAB’s holiday week performances of The Nutcracker.

The Nutcracker will be performed every weekend in December, 2022 and will travel to the following theaters in Los Angeles County: The Alex Theatre in Glendale, the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, Royce Hall at UCLA, and Dolby Theatre in Hollywood including special performances on Christmas Eve.
