Who

Five actors who can sing well for a staged reading of a new musical (non-Equity only).

Gabriella: An inquisitive, imaginative, and smart 13-year girl with an intense interest in astronomy, but a fear of speaking up lest she be labeled “weird” by her classmates. Woman 1: Versatile actress who plays multiple roles including: Miss Collins, a nurturing 7th grade science teacher; Ludovico, a boisterous and light-hearted painter and friend of Galileo; and a lady to the queen of France. Vocal Range: F3-E5 (with high mix or belt up to D5 a plus)*

Man 1: Versatile actor who plays various roles including: Cesare Cremonini, a stickler for following the writings and rules of Aristotle and also Galileo’s rival at the University of Padua; Christopher, a “know-it-all” 7th grade student; and the Doge of Venice. Vocal Range: Baritone G2-F4*
