THE MAN FROM EARTH - Heritage Players

Auditions for The Man From Earth, a science fiction play adapted by Richard Schenkman from a screenplay by Jerome Bixby (a writer for The Twilight Zone and the original Star Trek). Directed by Stephen Deininger with Ryan Geiger assisting.

We are seeking actors for the following roles:

John - A man claiming to be 14,000 years old, appears to be around 35.

Gruber - Male, elderly psychiatry professor.

Linda - A college student in a relationship with her professor. Must appear to be old enough to go to college but too young to drink.

Sandy - A teachers assistant. Young professional age.

Art - Male. Skeptical archeology professor.

Harry - Male. Goofy but unfunny biology professor.

Edith - Older woman, Christian literalist art history professor.

Dan - Logical and stoic anthropology professor.

Also seeking 4 actors of undetermined age and gender to play moving men, a police officer, and a paramedic. These roles are small, but will be handled by actors who don't mind handling some backstage tech roles as well.

All roles are open. All characters can be played by an actor of any ethnicity. Newcomers and veterans alike to Heritage Players are strongly encouraged to audition. No need to prepare a monologue, just bring yourself. If you have a headshot, feel free to bring it. If you have a resume you'll have less writing to do. The show will run April 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21.
