THE THEATRE GROUP AT SBCC ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR THE HEIRESS, AUGUST 25 & 26, 2014.
The Theatre Group at SBCC will hold auditions for the drama THE HEIRESS by Ruth and Augustus Goetz, directed by Katie Laris, on Monday and Tuesday, August 25 & 26 from 7-10pm by appointment in the Garvin Theatre. Callbacks will be September 2 and rehearsals will beginSeptember 8. Performances are October 15-November 1, 2014.
Set in New York City in the 1850’s, The Heiress, is the story of a shy and awkward woman, Catherine Sloper, who has been raised by a cold, judgmental physician father who finds her lacking in every way. When a young man, Morris Townsend, finds his way into Catherine’s heart, her successful father is sure he is a fortune hunter. Catherine’s search for herself and her place in society as well as her relationship with both of these men is at the heart of The Heiress.
