THE GAMM THEATRE ANNOUNCES YOUNG PERFORMER AUDITIONS FOR SEASON 32 (2016-2017)
The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) will hold auditions for young performers for its 32nd season on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 10pm-4pm. Auditions will take place at The Gamm Theatre, 172 Exchange St., Pawtucket, RI. The Gamm is looking to cast various young performers in the following plays of the 2016-2017 Season, which starts performances in September and runs through May. The following roles are available:
Arcadia by Tom Stoppard, directed by Fred Sullivan, Jr.
Rehearsals begin August 16, 2016. Runs September 15-October 16, 2016.
Thomasina Coverly – MUST read 14-17 years old, young woman. Intensley smart, curious, forthright.
Gus/Augustus Coverly – 12-15 years old, a boy/young man. Smart but often inward and shy.
The Children’s Hour by Lillian Hellman, directed by Rachel Walshe
Rehearsals begin December 19, 2016. Runs January 12-February 12, 2017.
Mary Tilford – 14 years old, leader of the pack of girls at the school. Tough, manipulative, Whip smart.*
Rosalie Wells – 12-14 years old. Smart, weak, easily cowed by Mary.
Several other girls must read ages 9-14.
The Nether by Jennifer Haley, directed by Judith Swift
Rehearsals begin Feb 7, 2017. Runs March 2-March 26, 2017.
Iris – Must be able to play 9-10 years old, a girl. She is the picture of innocence.
Each performer will be allotted a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes. We ask that all performers prepare a 1-2 minute monologue of their choice. Callbacks for individual plays will be announced at a later date.
Please also provide a copy of your headshot/resume at the time of your audition. Copies of the plays will be available at the auditions.

Artistic Director Tony Estrella will be attending all auditions. Minimum weekly salary for equity actors is $386. Minimum weekly salary for equity stage managers is $462.
