AUDITIONS FOR THE FULL MONTY

Tuesday & Thursday, May 9 & 11 at 7 pm at the Burton Leavitt Theatre

It’s the 90’s, we’re in Buffalo, NY and “the plant” has closed down. What’s a person to do when the place you’ve built your life around closes down? That’s the question many of the now unemployed residents of Buffalo are faced with. After being inspired by the money being paid to see a traveling stripper, Jerry decides that he and his friends are going to show the world what the real men of Buffalo look like. Whether it’s to keep a cover they’ve built by lying to their wife, to get money to pay child support, or just to get out of the house, the 6 “Monty Men” embark on a journey to show the world all they’ve got. We are looking for 11 men and 8 women (all but one must be 18 or older) to embark on an adventure with the Windham Theatre Guild. Don’t be shy! Come on down and enjoy a summer of fun!

NEEDED: 11 MEN and 8 WOMEN to FILL THESE ROLES:

Men

Nathan Lukowski -- Jerry’s son, 12 years old (actor need not be 12).

+^Buddy Keno Walsh -- Professional stripper. Will double with other minor role or ensemble.

+*Malcolm MacGregor -- One of the younger laid off workers. High Tenor.

+*Ethan Girard -- Another young man left unemployed. Baritone or Tenor.

+*Jerry Lukowski --The man with the plan. Strong actor/singer required for this role. “Rock” Tenor.

+*Dave Bukatinsky -- Jerry’s right hand man. Think Kevin James Sitcom kind of guy. Tenor w/ strong falsetto

^Teddy Slaughter -- Pam’s fiancé. Total opposite of Jerry. Will double with other role or ensemble.

^Reg Willoughby -- Union leader, appears once in “Scrap.” Will be doubled with other role or ensemble.

+*Harold Nichols -- Former supervisor, lying to his wife about still being employed. Baritone or Tenor.

^Tony Giordano -- Club owner, appears once at the end of the show. Will be doubled with other role or ensemble.

+*Noah (Horse) T. Simmons -- Older, African-American man. Baritone or Tenor.

Women

Estelle Genovese -- Jerry’s younger on again-off again girlfriend. Will also be used in ensemble.

Susan Hershey -- Friend of Estelle. Will also be used in ensemble.

Joanie Lish -- Friend of Estelle. WIll also be used in ensemble.

*Pam Lukowski -- Jerry’s ex-wife. Strong actress needed. Alto.

*Vicki Nichols -- Harold’s wife. High Alto.

*Gerorgie Bukatinsky -- Dave’s wife. Strong singer needed. High Alto/Strong Mezzo

*Jeanette Burmeister -- The older woman from showbiz. Low Alto.

Molly MacGregor -- Malcolm’s elderly mother. Will also be used in ensemble.

Characters are separated by male and female roles, listed by age from youngest to oldest. With the exception of Nathan, all actors auditioning must be 18+ by the time rehearsals begin. *Roles are considered leads +Roles will be required to strip (in the show, not at auditions) ^Roles will likely be doubled.
