THE BARTER PLAYERS HOLD AUDITIONS FOR YOUNG ACTORS
Barter Theatre’s young performance company, The Barter Players, are set to hold auditions for their 2016-2017 Barter Player Company.
Saturday, February 13, auditions will be held at the Wellmont Regional Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Northeast State Community College in Blountville, Tennessee.
Two audition sections will be conducted beginning at 10:00 am and 2:30 pm. Advance signup is required. Actors must be at least 18 years of age to audition.
The Barter Players will be casting for the non-Actor’s Equity Association (AEA) apprentice company and The Barter Player Company. Actors should not audition unless they are available for the 2016 season.
Actors should prepare one or two monologues of no more than 90 seconds each, along with one verse and one chorus of a song or 16 bars of a song. An accompanist is provided and actors are required to bring sheet music with them. No recorded accompaniment or acapella singing will be allowed, nor will on-site transposition.
