Returning to the Rockwell for it's fifth consecutive year, T: An MBTA Musical is the journey of three struggling Bostonians as they embark on a mission to overthrow the T. A musical romp that is part love story, part melodrama, but mostly underground, this show celebrates the things we love to hate about Boston, and its ever-struggling public transit system.
What We Look For:
Team-Oriented musical-theater actors ready to clown around.
Important Dates:
Rehearsals will begin in April.
Performances begin May 23rd, and run Fridays through Sundays until June 15th at The Rockwell Theater in Davis Square.
Below is a list of available roles:
ALICE Alternate (20s-60s, F): Mezzo Soprano, range B3 to D5, should be able to belt D5 and perform a Boston accent. Alice is overworked and overwhelmed. She is the Green Line.
MICHELLE (20s, F): Mezzo Soprano, range A3 to F5, should be able to belt D5. Michelle is a die hard romantic, haunted by the frat boy who made a fool of her. She is the Red Line. JOHN (20s, M): Tenor, range E3 to A4. John is a little dense but good at heart. He hasn't fully graduated from childhood. He is the Orange Line.
CHARLIE (any age, M): Baritone, range B3 to D4, should be able to play guitar. Charlie is the iconic symbol of the T.GM of the Month (any age or gender) Alternate: The Wizard of Oz and Wicked Witch of the West rolled together. They're punny, maniacal, and terrifying all at once.Ensemble Characters: T Cops. Minions. Lost Tourists.
Compensation: Actors are paid $15/hour, plus Commissions and Tips.
