ALL ROLES ARE AVAILABLE:
RANDLE PATRICK McMURPHY – age range 30-35+: Charismatic manipulative petty criminal, comes to the mental ward to avoid serving time in a work camp after being convicted of an unspecified crime. Profound issues with authority and rules. A con man. Clashes instantly with Nurse Ratched and incites insurrection among the other patients.
NURSE MILDRED RATCHED –Age range 35-45: Head nurse of the facility, she rules with an iron fist. Cold and domineering, and a master manipulator, She uses fear and humiliation to keep the patients under control. Presents herself as a stern but fair motherly figure.
CHIEF BROMDEN age range 35-45+: A physically imposing patient of mixed Native American and white heritage who suffers from schizophrenia. He fakes deafness so as to avoid attention. Has had many electroshock treatments.
BILLY BIBBIT – age range 16- 25: the youngest patient at the facility, he has a severe stutter and a dysfunctional relationship with his mother. He is very timid and shy.
DALE HARDING – age range 30-40: The intelligent self-proclaimed leader of the patients before McMurphy’s arrival. A bit of a blowhard, he is college-educated and somewhat effeminate.
SCANLON – age range 30-40+ A sometimes verbally vicious patient, obsessed with explosions and destruction.
CHARLES CHESWICK – age range 30-40+: A loud mouthed patient, he constantly demands changes to ward policy.
MARTINI –age range 25-35: Martini is a short, easily excitable Italian-American who suffers from hallucinations. He is happy and enthusiastic.
RUCKLY –age range 25-35 A lobotomized patient in a generally unresponsive state.
CANDY STARR –age range: 25-35 A flighty and fun-loving prostitute and a friend of McMurphy’s.
SANDRA – age range 20-35: A prostitute and mutual friend of Candy and McMurphy. She is anxious around the patients.
DR. SPIVEY –age range 40+: Head doctor and the ?resident psychiatrist at the facility. He is partially under the control of Nurse Ratched.
WARREN & WILLIAMS: WARD AIDES age range 25+: sometimes violent and sadistic ward orderlies. Physically powerful.
NURSE FLINN age range 20+: A perpetually frightened and young ward nurse. (This role may be doubled with another role)
AIDE TURKLE – age range 40+: The alcoholic night aide. (This role may be doubled with another role)
