Prepare a 30-45 second Shakespeare piece (excerpt from play or sonnet)
LOOKING FOR: 4 males that can play in the range of 16-18 years old. All must have at least an introductory grasp of Shakespeare's work and language. A background in stage movement or stage combat is preferred. Actors must be comfortable with portraying on-stage same-sex intimacy choreography and moments of staged violence.
PLAY SYNOPSIS: A rigid boys boarding school becomes the setting for a powerful and unorthdox reenactment of Shakespeare's immortal tale of doomed lovers breaking tradition, seeking forbidden desires, and painfully coming of age. This high-voltage, all- male adaptation of Romeo and Juliet becomes a provocative examination of adolescents declaring war on all the thou shalt nots; in their stifling world.
PRODUCTION DATES: September 7-30, 2018

REHEARSAL DATES: to begin end of June - as this production is highly ensemble driven, schedule conflicts will be considered highly, with regards to casting.
