Pioneer Theatre Company will produce the Stephen Sondheim musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Artistic Director Karen Azenberg will direct and choreograph this production. Phil Reno is musical directing.
Auditions Friday, May 18, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. is reserved for Actors Equity Association members. Callbacks will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, by invitation only.
All auditions will be held in Room 245 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Audition slots are three minutes, singing only. A headshot and resume are recommended. Auditioners must appear in person to be considered.
Actors are asked to prepare a Sondheim musical theatre selection or something in the style of the show. Accompanist will be provided.
All roles are available. Auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The sign-up sheet will be posted on Friday, May 11, 2018.
Rehearsal dates for the production are October 1 - 25, 2018; performance dates are October 26 through November 10, 2018.
