Non-AEA Capital Fringe Festival Field Trip Theatre “Stopgap” by Danielle Mohlman Directed by Jamila Reddy Rehearsals begin in June Performances run July 12 to 29
Synopsis: After a glass of wine at a birthday brunch, May announces that she’s going to turkey baste her way into pregnancy. That same morning, David tells his husband Robert that he wants to adopt. It’s November 8, 2008 — four days after Prop 8 passed in California. This dark comedy delves into the lives of six individuals living just on the outskirts of their suburban California town, trying to find their own definition of family in this heteronormative community they call “home.”
