Director Jason Mellin is auditioning actors for Stop Kiss, a play by Diana Son. A poignant and funny play about the ways, both sudden and slow, that lives can change irrevocably, says Variety. After Callie meets Sara, the two unexpectedly fall in love. Their first kiss provokes a violent attack that transforms their lives in a way they could never anticipate. The play will be performed in the Black Box Theater. The following roles will be cast:
Sara, an energetic young teacher from St. Louis (20's-early 30's) George, a protective ex-boyfriend (20's-30's) Peter, Sara's reserved ex-boyfriend, also from St. Louis (20's-early 30's) Mrs. Winsley, an older neighborhood resident and witness to the attack on Sara, doubles as Nurse (late 30's-50's) Detective Cole: conservative detective investigating the attack (40's-50's)
Actors will be asked to read from sides provided at the audition. You will only need to attend one of the two audition dates. If you have any questions, contact Jason at
