The Company Theatre to Hold Open Auditions
for Monty Python’s Spamalot
The Company Theatre announces open auditions for their upcoming production of Monty Python’s Spamalot, to be held Monday, May 20 at 6:30 pm at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell. All roles are open for casting. A callback is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, at 6:30 pm. A rehearsal schedule will be available at the audition. The production will be directed by Zoe Bradford and Jordie Saucerman, choreographed by Sally Forrest, with music direction by Michael Joseph.
An award-winning smash hit musical, Spamalot is “lovingly ripped off” from the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Rife with many of the trademark naughty bits, this musical retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, featuring a bevy of show girls and killer rabbits. Spamalot raises silliness to a comic art form with madcap hijinks, medieval sight gags and hilarious production numbers.
Audition candidates should be strong singers and dancers. Please arrive prepared to sing 16 bars from the Spamalot score, or a song in the musical theater style. Dress appropriately to learn and rehearse a dance combination. The production team will provide sheet music from the Spamalotscore and accompaniment, or audition candidates may bring their own sheet music. Please come prepared to sing sixteen bars and to learn a dance combination. Looking for strong singers and dancers. Audition candidates should bring a headshot or snapshot, and a resume is helpful but not required.
Performances of Spamalot will be held from July 26 through August 18, with performances at 7:30 or 8:00 pm from Wednesday through Sunday. Sunday matinee performances will be held at 3:00 pm. Tickets are available for $34.00 to $36.00. For a complete performance schedule or to order tickets, please visit
