WHAT TO KNOW:
We are seeking a huge, diverse, multi-generational cast of between 35-50 performers. All ages (6 and up) and skill levels are needed! Please prepare a 16-bar cut (or 30-60 seconds) from a song of your choice. Selection should showcase your voice and personality. Please bring sheet music, an accompaniment track, or be prepared to sing a Capella. No monologues will be required. Sides will be provided at auditions. No reservations are needed - arrive anytime within the audition window. Dancers wanted! We are hoping to build a strong dance troupe (Bird Girls, etc). Dance callbacks will be held on Friday, March 4 at 7:00 pm.

DESCRIPTION:
SEUSSICAL is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (RAGTIME, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND), have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and a little Who with a big imagination – Jojo. These colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.
RISE is a non-profit, non-Equity, volunteer-based theater company. All positions within the company are unpaid, unless otherwise specified.
RISE encourages anyone who is interested to audition and is always eager to welcome new faces and fresh talent to its stage. COVID POLICY:
Masks are required at auditions for all unvaccinated individuals, including children, except when actively reading or singing. RISE will follow COVID protocols throughout this rehearsal and performance process. ALL CAST AND CREW will be asked to provide either proof of vaccination or weekly negative COVID tests.
