TheatreWorks New Milford will hold open auditions for Scotland Road on Sunday July 30 from 6 to 8pm and Monday July 31 from 7 to 9 pm at TheatreWorks, 5 Brookside Avenue, New Milford, CT.
This production will be directed by Jocelyn Beard.
Scotland Road is a controversial mystery/drama about a woman who is found floating on an iceberg in 19th century clothing. She is rescued and starts speaking about the TITANIC. She is taken to Maine for an interrogation. It’s part mystery, part ghost story, and a sly examination of how humans hide behind false personas. A wealthy American becomes obsessed with this Woman, and offers her doctor in Iceland a promise to get her into a good hospital in Boston if he can just spend 3 days with her at an undisclosed location in Maine, with the doctor in attendance. What follows is an eerie encounter between all the characters in the story. We learn that everything we took for granted about the man, the doctor, and the world’s last survivor of the RMS Titanic isn't what we were led to believe. Only the mysterious Woman is exactly what she claims. The ending is beautiful and haunting
