Announcing Non-Union Auditions for the Off-Broadway Musical “Rip Van Winkle.”
Dennis Kelly Higgins, Producer, is conducting Additional Auditions for an original Musical, based on the legendary tale of the Catskills “Rip Van Winkle.” Rehearsals start in October, with performances set for November, in a Manhattan Theater Venue. The run will be extended if the show proves successful. Seeking excellent Actors, Singers, & Dancers. $300.00 Stipend for the five week experience. All ethnicities welcome.

CAST BREAKDOWN:
Rip: 22-35 years old. Scalliwag, pioneer, the authentic article. Always with a good word or a joke. Handsome, spirited, has big ideas.
Lowinna: 22-32. (Actress of Color) Stands up for her rights. Glamorous, articulate, earthy, she speaks truth to the powerless.
Gretchen: 22-35. Rip’s wife. A Dame. Gentle, yet firm. In her prime. The lady of the house.
Derrick: 22-35. (Actor of Color) Rip’s friend and rival. An aristocrat. Owns the Tavern, and most everything else. Believes Rip’s wife married beneath herself.
Herman: 18-25 (Actor of Color) Derrick’s son. Thinks of himself as the best catch in town. Headed for New York to make his fortune.
Alice: 18-25. Rip’s daughter. Beautiful and smart. The most desirable girl in the Village.
Knickerbocker: 18-25 Alice’s suitor. A school teacher. Sharp with his wit, and his sword, if necessary.
Henry Hudson: 30-45. Explorer. Captain of his pirate crew, still seeking adventure.
Tateeva: 25-35. Native American woman. She speaks of ourselves and our myths.
