'Rabbit Hol' Auditions, Nov 16-17, Vagabond Players, Baltimore
The Vagabond Players to hold auditions for David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer-Prize-winning drama, 'Rabbit Hole' on Sunday, November 16 and Monday, November 17th at 7pm, at The Vagabond Theatre, 806. S. Broadway in Baltimore, MD.
'Rabbit Hole' is a heartbreaking play about a husband and wife, Becca and Howie, who are working through their grief after losing their 4-year-old child Danny in a car accident. The play will be directed by Eric C. Stein.
Production dates run weekends from Friday, February 27th through Sunday, March 29th. There is an additional performance on Thursday, March 26th. Rehearsals will begin the week of January 11th, 2015 and will be held Monday through Thursday evenings with the possibility of an occasional Sunday.
Actors will be asked to read from the script. This is a volunteer (non-paid) position. Audition-related questions may be directed to theatrestein@gmail.com.
The role of Howie has already been cast. Casting is for the following roles:
Becca - Late thirties/Early forties. A practical woman, who has long since been defined by her position as a wife and mother. In the wake of her son's death, she seems to have shut down emotionally.
Izzy - Late twenties/Early thirties. Becca's sister. Izzy is full of personality and a little rough around the edges.
Nat - Late fifties/Early sixties. Becca and Izzy's Mother. Nat is a strong woman with a quirky exterior.
Jason - Seventeen. A high school student who accidentally hit Becca and Howie's son with his car.
