The Theatre Group at SBCC announces auditions for its fall production of the comedy RIPCORD by David Lindsay-Abaire. Directed by Katie Laris, auditions will be in person and by on-line submission.
In-person auditions will be on Wednesday, August 25 from 5:30-8:30pm in the Garvin Theatre. On-line submissions must be submitted by midnight, August 25: To submit online go to
www.theatregroupsbcc.com/auditions. Callbacks will be on Monday, August 30 beginning at 5:30pm. Rehearsals will begin on Wednesday, September 1. Performances will run October 13-30, 2021 in the Garvin Theatre.
A sunny room with a lovely view on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly cheerful woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths about their community, their families and themselves.
