Repertory Dance Theatre, since 1966, is America’s premiere modern dance repertory company. RDT’s collection of masterworks spans 100+ years of modern dance including work by Ted Shawn, Michio Ito, Doris Humphrey, José Limón, Shapiro & Smith, Lar Lubovitch, Zvi Gotheiner, Ishan Rustem, Noa Zuk.
- Positions in this 9 member company are for a minimum of 35 weeks per year.
- Dancers must be prepared to make a two-year commitment.
- RDT dancers must be vaccinated for Covid-19
- Season Contracts begin June 20, 2022
- Performing engagements include 4-5 home season productions, touring, Arts-In Education residencies.
We look for dancers with outstanding technical skills capable of performing a wide range of modern/contemporary movement styles. We also look for dancers interested in developing their teaching and choreographic skills.

ONLINE VIDEO SUBMISSIONS: Vimeo preferred, NO Passwords, please- Applicant performing modern/ contemporary work (maximum 5 minutes). Solo work is best. If sending group work, please indicate who to watch for.
- Applicant improvising movement that illustrates technical ability (maximum 2 minutes).
- Applicant stating where they are in their dance career and their interest in RDT (maximum 1 minute).
