AUDITIONS FOR 2018
Love to sing? Then make 2018 the year you take your passion further and audition to join the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) Choir?
Auditions will be held at QPAC from Tuesday 23 January 2017 to Thursday 25 January 2018.
Formed in 2008, as a QPAC programming initiative, the QPAC Choir is a contemporary community choir for adults aged 18 years and over.
Rehearsing on Monday evenings, the 150 voice QPAC Choir provides access to imaginative repertoire, challenging skill development, social opportunities and public performance.
The QPAC Choir is led by acclaimed choirmaster and composer, Timothy Sherlock with choir members having the opportunity to work with a range of professional musicians.
“It is a pleasure to lead the QPAC Choir which each year continues to build on its strengths as it participates in a broad range of performance opportunities from bespoke events to dedicated on-stage concerts. I invite people who love to sing and want to further develop their skills and experience, to come along and audition and be part of our exciting journey,” said Mr Sherlock.
In 2018 the QPAC Choir’s performance opportunities include the QPAC Choir Showcase Concert: Pop Goes The 80s, Songs of Hope & Healing, Brisbane Open House and QPAC’s iconic Spirit of Christmas concerts.
To encourage young choristers, QPAC Choir is pleased to offer a series of scholarships for recent secondary school leavers to join the choir. For enquiries please email

Cost: Upon acceptance to choir - $130 per semester (total cost per year $260). Scholarships available on application for recent secondary school leavers.
