Polish Joke - West Coast Players

Director Rick Bronson will be holding auditions for the West Coast Players’ production of Polish Joke by David Ives at 7:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, January 3rd & 4th, 2018. Auditions will be held in the West Coast Players lobby at 21905 US 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33765.

Performance dates are March 9 – 25, 2018. No performers paid.

There are 20+ parts that will be played by an ensemble cast of five actors. Auditions will consist of cold readings in a group setting. A one minute comedic monologue is optional. Ability to learn dialects a plus. Some parts require Polish and/or Irish accents. Both men and women needed who are able to play in age range 20 – 60. In this comedy about ethnic identity and the eternal American search to belong, Jasiu, a Polish-American who has been taught not to value his own roots, decides to make his own. His adventures – alternately zany and heartbreaking – help him discover who he is and what it means to be a Pole.
