The Ridgefield Theater Barn will hold open auditions for Peter And The Starcatcher at 37 Halpin Lane, Ridgefield, CT on Sunday, March 13th and Monday, March 14th from 7p - 9p. The play, written by Rick Elice, includes music. The play will be directed by Katherine Ray, with Renee Southerland assistant directing, and Sharon Houk choreographing. Performances will be Friday & Saturday evenings from June 3rd - 25th at 8pm, with Sunday matinees June 12th & 19th at 5pm.
In this five-time Tony Award-winning play, ten brilliant actors play more than 100 unforgettable characters using their enormous talent, ingenious stagecraft & the limitless possibilities of imagination. This swashbuckling grownup prequel to Peter Pan will have you hooked from the moment you let your imagination take flight.
All roles may be played by actors of any race, ethnicity, & gender identity. Actors will be moving, lifting, pulling, sitting upon one another, falling, fighting, & other physical mischiefs, including close physical contact. All actors will double in roles, serving as sailors, seamen, orphans, pirates, mermaids, mollusks, ships, doors, chairs, animals, scenery...and narrators. All roles are open; proof of vaccination is required. Note, due to the physical nature of the piece, all who audition should be over 18 years of age.
