ORLANDO SHAKESPEARE THEATER ANNOUNCES OPEN AUDITIONS
FOR 2013 PLAYFEST
Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF will hold open auditions for PlayFest on Saturday, September 28th from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. (meal break from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.) at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center in Orlando’s Loch Haven Park.
PlayFest, part of Harriett’s New Play Series, is a weekend of seven new play readings occurring November 8-10, 2013. Each play receives twelve hours of rehearsal (beginning the week of November 4) for the script-in-hand reading. A small stipend is provided. Orlando Shakespeare Theater will follow the Equity Staged Reading Guidelines for this event. AEA and non-AEA actors welcome. Members of Actors’ Equity will be seen throughout the day. Appointments are not available for these auditions. Please prepare one contemporary monologue or two sides for the audition, and bring TWO copies of your headshot and resume.
