CAPE REP ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR PETER AND THE STARCATCHER

Cape Rep Theatre is holding auditions for Peter and the Starcatcher on Saturday, August 20, at Cape Rep Indoor Theater 3299 Main Street, Brewster, from 12-3 pm by appointment. If you are unable to make an appointment, we will try to see people on a first-come-first-served basis in between scheduled appointments. Bring a headshot and resume, if any. You may be asked to cold-read from the script and you will be asked to sing a cappella. It is always helpful if you have prepared a monologue but not necessary. Wear appropriate clothing for movement. This is an ensemble show and director Maura Hanlon is looking for actors who are physically brave. There may be callbacks. Please email an appointment request along with your headshot and resume to
caperepauditions@verizon.net.

Rehearsals for Peter and the Starcatcher will begin on or about October 3 and the production runs from November 3 through December 4, 2016.

Roles available for men and women of all ages, races, and ethnicity. We welcome and encourage all to audition. For further information, contact the box office at 508.896.1888 or online at
www.caperep.org.

Peter and the Starcatcher is a play By Rick Elice, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, with music By Wayne Baker. This raucous, creative comedy with music is theatrical storytelling at its best, a prequel to Peter Pan for grown ups (okay, for children too) that explains how an orphan boy becomes Peter Pan and how an egomaniacal pirate fop became one of theater’s most delightful villains. You don’t want to miss this 5-time Tony Winner and Cape Cod premiere, filled with shtick, mermaids, a love story and maybe even a guy in a dress.

Cape Cod Repertory Theatre Company, Inc. is a 501c3 organization, founded in 1986 as a company dedicated to creativity and professionalism. On seven acres of land in Nickerson State Park in Brewster, Massachusetts, Cape Rep Theatre is the steward of the beautiful land and historic buildings that are home to the company’s three theaters, including the only outdoor theater on Cape Cod.
