Audition Notice:
The Adobe Theater’s production of Hugh Whitemore’s drama Pack of Lies Directed by Joann Danella
Production dates: January 10 – February 2, 2014
Auditions will be held at The Adobe Theater on Saturday, October 26 – 1:00 pm –4:00 pm and Sunday October 27 7:00 pm .
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Available Roles: 5 women and 3 men as follows:
Bob Jackson - late forties, early fifties. English accent. Lead. Husband to Barbara Jackson. Bob is overly concerned about doing the right thing, especially with his boss. He is usually relaxed, except when it comes to his position at AirSpeed Research. He is somewhat intimidated by Mr. Stewart.
Barbara Jackson - late thirties, early forties. English accent. Lead. Wife to Bob Jackson. Fragile. Nervous. Not at all the social butterfly her friend, Helen is, but beginning to come out of her shell because of her friendship with Helen.
Julie Jackson - Teen, 13-16 years of age. English accent. Supporting. Your typical teenager of 1960 - wanting desperately to be sophisticated like auntie Helen, whom she adores.
Helen Kroger - forties, American. Supporting. Sophisticated. Worldly. Befriended Helen; loved Julie. Enjoys the drink.
Peter Kroger - late forties, early fifties, American. Supporting. Casual. Follows Helen's lead. Also enjoys the drink.
Stewart - older than fifties, but could be late fifties. English Accent. Supporting. A Columbo type - not the most sophisticated, but knows his job and knows it well. He's an investigator. Even if we knew his first name, we only know him as Stewart or Mr. Stewart.
Thelma - mid to late 20's - one of the female assistants to Stewart. English accent. She is a tough cookie, but softens around Barbara Jackson.
Sally - late 20's - another female assistant to Stewart. English accent. Thelma's work relief partner. This part is small but vital to the flow of the script..
