ONE-ACT FESTIVAL - Hendersonville Theatre

Hendersonville Theatre is a small theatre that welcomes actors, dancers, and singers of all experience levels. You don’t need any experience to audition. We are hosting auditions for our upcoming One-Act Festival at our theatre in Hendersonville, NC, and we will also accept video auditions.

One-Act Festival roles are open to anyone ages 16 and over who lives throughout Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. All experience levels are welcome to audition. Our actors are compensated through audience donations, so we do not guarantee a stipend or provide housing, meals, or pay for rehearsals. However, we offer a warm, friendly, and creative environment where you can showcase your talents and feel appreciated for your contribution.

We encourage performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to attend our audition.

Here are a few tips to help you understand our audition process:

  1. Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 29. You can sign up for a time
    here.
  2. If you have not registered for a time beforehand, we will see you between appointments, but you may have a wait time.
  3. Please arrive 15 minutes before your time slot if we run ahead of schedule.
  4. Auditionees should prepare a 1-2 minute monologue. You can read the monologue if you do not have it memorized. If your monologue runs over 2 minutes, you will be cut off.
  5. Cold readings from selected scripts will also be available upon arrival. You will be provided a reader for the cold reading portion of your audition.
  6. You will be considered for all appropriate parts, even if you do not read for them.

  7. Please go here to submit a YouTube or Vimeo video audition
