OF MICE AND MEN - Prime Stage Theatre

Several actors and an older herding dog are needed to recreate Depression-era California onstage in Prime Stage Theatre’s production of John Steinbeck’s classic play Of Mice and Men, which will open the professional theater organization’s twenty-second season in November.

The show will be directed by veteran Pittsburgh director Scott P. Calhoon.

Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. both days, at the Prime Stage Studio, 840 Saw Mill Run Boulevard (Lower Level) in the West End.

Men age 18 to 70 and women able to play ages 18 to 25 are asked to email auditions@primestage.com to schedule an audition appointment.

For the audition, all actors are asked to prepare two contrasting one-minute monologues and bring a resume and headshot.

Following the auditions, callbacks are scheduled for September 1 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., also at the Studio.

In addition, an older herding dog, age 12 to 14, is sought for the production, and must be available for all shows.

The production runs from November 2 to 11 at the New Hazlett Theater Center for the Performing Arts, Allegheny Square on the North Side.
