The Milburn Stone Theatre at Cecil College in North East, MD will hold auditions on Tuesday, January 21st & Wednesday, 22nd, 2014 at 7pm for the April ’14 production of NEXT TO NORMAL. MST Producing Artistic Director, S. Lee Lewis seeks a diverse cast of actors and actresses for this production. Actors and Actresses auditioning should bring two comparing and contrasting songs in the style of the production, an accompanist will be provided. A callback for this productions will be announced at a later date. Please bring a list of all known conflicts to the audition, NEXT TO NORMAL will begin rehearsals in late February.

DIANA: Delusional, bipolar, and depressed. The sexiness of her yesterdays has only recently begun to soften. She is determined to make her family perfect but is tortured by a death in the family. Female, 40-45 yrs old Range: G3 - F#5
DAN: Diana's husband. He is handsome and genuine. Though a constant in Diana's tumultuous life, he has grown tired and weary of her antics. Male, 40-45 yrs old Range: Ab2 - B4
NATALIE: Diana & Dan's troubled daughter. An accomplished pianist and hardworking student, her struggles are exacerbated by her mother's behavior. She greatly admires Henry. Female, 16 yrs old Range: G3 - G5
HENRY: Natalie's classmate. The all-around musician, philosopher, and slacker. He has an intoxicating capacity for sympathy and romance. Male, 17 yrs old Range: G#2 - B4
GABE: Diana & Dan's son. Dashing, athletic, and bright. He is a playful man and everything a mother could imagine. Male, 18-21 yrs old Range: B2 - C5
DR. MADDEN: Diana's handsome psychiatrist. Quite assured in his practice and considered somewhat of a rock star. Male, 30-40 yrs old Range: A2 - A4
