CASTING INFO
Everyone auditioning to be a Newsie will have to attend both the singing and dancing portion of the audition. While all newsies will be required to do some dance, we will have separate “mover/singer” and “dancer” newsies. So, if you feel you are stronger in singing but nervous about difficult dancing, or confident in dance, but less sure about singing, please still audition!
You do not need to have tap dance experience to be considered for this show. All Newsies will dance or move in the show, but not all will be tap dancing.
All age ranges in the character description represent what the character should read like from stage. Your actual age does not need to fit this range. However, the minimum age for the show (except Les) is age 16.
Please note that the roles of Pulitzer and Katherine have been cast.
