National Broadway Chorus is holding auditions for all voice types for its paid professional ensemble. Auditions will be held from 6-9pm on Monday, July 7th at Georgetown Lutheran Church on Wisconsin Ave. NW. Prepare one up-tempo and one ballad, 16 bars of each and be prepared to sight-read. About National Broadway Chorus
National Broadway Chorus was created to provide performance opportunities for established and aspiring Broadway performers. Led by Conductor Luke Frazier, 24 singers perform Broadway and Crossover repertoire. National Broadway Chorus seeks to promote and perform the Great American Songbook, as well as traditional choral repertoire, highlighting new performers, new works and new concepts. In addition to our own performance, National Broadway Chorus seeks to expose a new generation of students through education and collaboration to music of the Great American Songbook and beyond.

• June 15, 2014 - After the Storm: A Benefit Concert for the Philippines at The Kennedy Center, featuring apl.de.ap of The Black-Eyed Peas, celebrated violinist Joshua Bell, Glee and Broadway star Darren Criss, actor Lou Diamond Phillips, Christine Rocas of The Joffrey Ballet, Metropolitan Opera star Rodell Rosel, Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, and many other celebrities to be announced.
• July 26, 2014 – Civil War Concert with the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra on the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival in Orkney Springs, VA.
Previous engagements include: The Ensemble of Children of Eden in Concert at The Kennedy Center, directed by Tony nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge; Millennium Stage Concert at The Kennedy Center, National Portrait Gallery Exhibit Opening; Human Rights First Beacon Prize Ceremony honoring Sen. Bob Dole.
Rehearsal schedule:
Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at Georgetown Lutheran Church from 6-9pm. They occur as needed for upcoming performances, and may include additional rehearsal dates/times as required per performance.
