MYTHOLOGY PROJECT - Windsor Art Center

The Windsor Art Center seeks creative and collaborative actors to participate in the creation and performance of an original short play inspired by Slavic Mythology and Folklore. These stories are rich with characters such as the Baba Yaga, gods and goddesses, water nymphs, vampires, werewolves, goblins, heroes, and talking animals. An ensemble of six actors will be selected to devise the performance from the ground up, with the actors playing several roles each. A modest stipend will be provided to all performers.

Rehearsals: June 9, June 27-28, July 23-August 15
Performances: August 16-17-18 at 8PM

WHAT TO PREPARE:
Auditions will consist of devising and improvisation activities. No need to prepare anything beforehand. Just come in willing to play and have fun in a creative and relaxed atmosphere!

The audition will involve some group activities, so actors are encouraged to arrive no later than 4:30PM on May 19 and to plan to stay for the whole time if possible. Those needing to arrive later than 4:30PM or who need to leave earlier are still welcome and encouraged to email director Amanda Pawlik, director.amandap@gmail.com.

While walk-in auditions are welcome, to help with planning, actors are encouraged to email Amanda ahead of time with headshot and resume (if available).

Those who are interested in auditioning but cannot make the audition on May 19th are invited to email Amanda to set up an alternate audition appointment.

The third installment of the Mythology Project is sponsored by a grant from the NewAlliance Foundation.
