Callbacks (if needed): Sunday, August 25 th 3-6 pm. Sides will be provided.
How to Prepare: 1–2-minute contemporary monologue (comedic or dramatic)
Rehearsals: Table read will be September 17th. Staging rehearsals will begin shortly after depending on cast conflicts.
Tech Rehearsals: Will be November 9th and 10th, 12pm to 9pm.
Dress Rehearsals: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - November 12th thru 14th, 6 -11pm.
Production Dates: September 15th thru December 8th. Friday and Saturday night curtain is 7:30pm and Sunday matinee curtain is at 2:30 pm.
Compensation: All actors are offered a stipend.
About the Play: Adapted by the Mountain Community Theater from Valentine Davies' novel and inspired by the classic 1947 film, this enchanting play brings to life the story of Kris Kringle, a white- bearded gentleman who claims to be the real Santa Claus. Through his charm and sincerity, Kris performs a remarkable feat, proving to Doris, a skeptical single mother, her serious young daughter Susan, and the entire city of New York that Santa is indeed real. With a vibrant cast of characters and a heartwarming narrative, this play transports audiences back to the true spirit of Christmas, reminding us all of the magic and wonder of the holiday season.
