You are invited to audition for a production of MILA, DISASTER LOVER, an original contemporary play by local artist Alex J Maryn. MILA, DISASTER LOVER is slated to be performed February 2021 for Philly Theatre Week.
As of right now, we are only auditioning for the roles of Mila and Future Mila. The auditions for the other roles will be announced in May 2020.
Plot: ‘Mila, Disaster Lover’ is a contemporary theatrical piece following the story of Mila Davenport, a young woman learning to see red flags through rose-colored glasses. In Act One - JOHN AND MILA, Mila and her lover John have a connection that isn’t fit for everyone… and seemingly not fit for them either. In Act Two - MILA A.D.: AFTER DISASTER, we find Mila shattered after a devastating breakup. Luckily, she won’t be picking up the pieces alone.
Actors will be paid a stipend.
The auditions will be at Plays & Players Theatre (1714 Delancey Place, Philadelphia, PA 19103) and the dates are:
Mila -
Friday January 24th
Friday January 31st

If you are invited for a callback, you will be notified the night of your audition. It will be a dance call.
It's not a requirement, but if you are able to, it would be super helpful if you submit your headshot and resume in one pdf or doc file instead of two separate ones.
We will take walk-ins based on availability, we just ask that you email first, so we can let you know if we have time available.
Even if not invited for a callback, we will still keep your headshot, resume and contact info on file so we can contact you with future opportunities!
