MUSIC THEATRE OF IDAHO 2022 SEASON - Music Theatre of Idaho Non Equity Auditions

Anyone is welcome to audition! To audition, please fill out the Mid-season Video Audition Registration, and upload your audition video directly to the Google Form. You may sing any Broadway song of your choosing (with a backing track). If there is a specific role you are interested in, we recommend you sing a song that role sings. Videos will not be accepted any later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday April 15th.

HELLO, DOLLY!

Performs June 9-11

OPEN ROLES:

Minnie Fay- A young girl (15+) who works in Irene’s hat shop. Irene’s assistant, she is a naïve, straitlaced, fresh, and a follower.

Ensemble Men- Various roles. (15+)

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

Performs August 25-27

OPEN ROLE:

Maria Rainer- A sweet young postulant whose love of freedom makes it obvious to her superiors that she is not suited for religious life at the Abbey. . She is naive, naughty, witty, strong-minded, and tomboyish.

Age (20+) Vocal range: B5 to C4 Vocal Technique: Belting, Yodeling.

Performs October 20-22

OPEN ROLES:
Foley Fish- Onstage Foley Artist.

Electric Skate- Fish Rock Band Member- Must be a tenor! Male (15+)

THE SECRET GARDEN

Performs December 8-10

OPEN ROLE:

Ben Weatherstaff- Head gardener. Secretly entrusted to take care of the garden after Lily’s death. Knows a great deal about the history of the garden and the grounds it sits on. He has worked for the family for many years. He calls himself “an old man.” Male (25+)
