MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING - Annapolis Shakespeare Company

Annapolis Shakespeare Company is accepting submissions for the roles of Don John, Ursula and the Boy (see breakdown below) for Shakespeare's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING to be presented August 2-18, 2013 at the Bowie Playhouse. Rehearsals July 8-27. TECH July 29-August 1. Non-union. All roles paid. Auditions will be held June 3-5, 2013 and are by appointment only. Please submit headshot and resume to casting@annapolisshakespeare.org. No phone calls please. Actors should prepare two contrasting classical monologues (at least one should be in verse).

Don John - the illegitimate brother of Don Pedro and the villain of the story, 25-35

Ursula - a comical lady in waiting to Hero, 18-30

the Boy - 12 year old boy who looks 10-12

The production will be directed by Sally Boyett-D'Angelo with fight direction by Paul E. Hope.
The Annapolis Shakespeare Company is an emerging professional theatre company in Annapolis, MD. All rehearsals take place at the company studios at 111 Chinquapin Round Road in Annapolis. The company is in residence at the Bowie Playhouse in White Marsh Park where they present three indoor productions each season. The company will also be presenting an annual free Shakespeare in the Park at City Dock in Annapolis beginning summer 2014.
