Horizon in partnership with Atlanta Children's Theatre is now seeking three non-Equity adult actors for paid positions in our 13th annual Family Series production of the musical Madeline’s Christmas. Auditions will be held Sept 5 & 6, callbacks Sept 9. Video accepted if unavailable for these dates. All roles must be comfortable working/performing with children (ages 8-12). All races/ethnicities are strongly encouraged to submit!
Rehearsals begin September 30, 2023. Rehearsals will be 4-6 hours (Time TBD) on Saturdays/Sundays and 6:00-8:30pm Mondays until we begin tech. Rehearsals will increase the week of Thanksgiving through December 1st. Performances Dec 2-31, 38-42 performances, including many daytime weekday performances the week before and after Christmas. This is our 13th year of this fun 70-minute musical based on the popular children’s book series. Spring Mason of Atlanta Children’s Theatre is directing. The cast includes 2 casts of 12 girls (8-12 years old) and 3 adult professionals.
Roles are:
HARSHA, a mysterious, magical rug merchant doubled with M. BRUN, a school teacher, male, late 20’s-50’s, tenor or baritone (preferred);
MISS CLAVEL, the sweet and motherly teacher at the school, female, late 20’s-30’s, soprano or mezzo soprano;
MRS. MURPHY: the friendly housekeeper/cook at the girls’ school, late 20’s-50’s, alto or soprano
