GENERAL INFO:
NextStage is seeking 5-6 young artists to join our Virtual Production of Les Misérables: School Edition! If cast, we will be starting rehearsal immediately. Performers must have a stable internet connection and be prepared to adapt to new technology so we can create our incredible recorded production.
**Due to show content and our contract with licensing, there is an age limit of 13-18 years old at the time of auditions. Gavroche is the only exception.
SCHEDULE:
For this production, everything will be pre-recorded live and streamed in August. Rehearsals and live recording will take place June 7th - August 5th on Monday-Thursdays from 5:00 - 8:30pm MST. You will NOT be called for the full rehearsal time and will be expected at rehearsal 2-4 times a week. Be prepared to learn and adapt to new technology to create our incredible recorded production.

CALLBACKS: Callbacks will be by email invitation. They will consist of additional pre-recorded material and a live meeting. Live meetings will generally be scheduled between May 27th - June 3rd. COMPENSATION: Regardless of age, all NextStage actors are always paid a percentage of ticket sales for each production along with all funds collected through our Actor Tip Jar.
AVAILABLE ROLES (all roles will double as ensemble)
Madame Thénardier
Wife of Thénardier. Together, Madame Thénardier and Thénardier con the world as partners in crime. Need an actress with excellent physical comedy skills and a good sense of rhythm.
Gender: Female
Vocal range: G#3 - D5
Gavroche
Gavroche is Thénardier’s son. He is left to fend for himself and lives by his wits in the streets of Paris. His archenemy is Javert, the policeman.
Vocal range: B3 - G5
Grantaire
Grantaire is the opposite of Enjolras. He believes in nothing. Although he admires Enjolras, he loves to mock him. Witty and drunken, Grantaire is happy being with the group, and they put up with him because of his good humor.
Vocal Range: A3 - F#4
Several Named Barricade Boys - These characters will have several solos throughout the show and vastly different characterization.
Vocal range: E3 - D4
Ensemble
The ensemble for this production will likely be the busiest. They will be in all group numbers and fill in 20+ named roles. All ensemble members will have a minimum of one solo through the show. Some female ensemble members will likely double as male characters in the ABC society and barricade scenes.
