LOUISE and SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE - Mad Cow Theatre
Mad Cow Theatre announces auditions for the role of Louise in Sunday in the Park with George and for the The Florida Opera Theatre Youth Company.
Sunday in the Park With George, with music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Sunday in the Park with George will open Mad Cow’s new theatre at 54 West Church Street in the fall, with rehearsals beginning early August.
Auditions will be held by appointment only on the morning of Saturday, July 7th for both projects. Please prepare one song to sing with the accompanist provided (bring needed sheet music).
Louise: Should read 9-12. An annoying child who runs around the park seeking attention by any means necessary. She has next to no relationship with her parents because they simply tolerate her existence. This is a role that only participates in Act I and the opening and closing moments of Act II. (VOCAL PART: Mezzo).
Florida Opera Theatre:
Singers also will have the opportunity to sing for the Florida Opera Theatre Youth Company. The Youth Company is a place for kids who like to perform Classical music, Opera and Musical Theater. More information will be available at the audition.
