SYNOPSIS

This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940’s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. A sound foley artist will add to the fun of recreating a behind the scenes view of an art form from days gone by.

The setting is radio studio A at WBFR in Manhattan, New York, Christmas Eve, 1946.

AUDITION REQUIREMENT

Monologue: Prepare a monologue (one to two minutes long) that shows off your ability to be several characters within one reading since each role in this show calls for being multiple characters while reading off a radio script.

If you would like to audition for the Foley Artist prepare an entertaining piece in which you create a variety of real-life sound effects with whatever materials you have available to you.

Headshot and Resume: Please upload these to the Audition Form at the link provided.
