Into the Woods

A massive outdoor production at one of LA’s iconic outdoor spaces, Descanso Gardens, July 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 2022. Rehearsals will begin around June 15. Due to the large cast size and intensity of the rehearsal process, only artists with housing and transportation in LA will be considered in most cases.

Auditions are by video recording only, with possible live callbacks. We've provided sheet music, sides, and accompaniment tracks for specific excerpts from ITW. These are the selections we would like to hear. You are welcome to use the tracks or hire a pianist. Expensive studio recordings are not necessary. Save your money. A recording with a phone in your living room is perfectly acceptable, as long as we can see and hear you clearly. You may audition for as many roles as you like.
**ONLY SUBMIT THE SELECTION WE'VE ASKED FOR AND PROVIDED FOR INTO THE WOODS -- whether you hire a pianist or use the tracks .**
If you have video from a live performance of ITW, you may submit that in place of a new recording. (Please hyperlink or cut your video to the places we've asked for. )
We are also hearing singers for the new opera I Can't Breathe. Performances in May 2022 in North Hollywood. Musical theater and jazz singers with a strong classical background are encouraged to apply. Details and excerpts are at
