Production Description -
Casting a NON- EQUITY production of "I LOVE YOU BECAUSE. . ." A modern twist on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice , set in New York City. A young, uptight greeting card writer’s life is changed when he meets a flighty photographer. Along with their eccentric friends and siblings, they learn to love each other not in spite of their faults, but because of them.
Rehearsal and production dates & location -
Rehearsals begin approx. Jan. 6, 2014; show opens approx. Feb. 6, 2014 and is contracted though approx. Feb. 16, 2014.
Compensation -
All positions are paid and contracted.

Audition information -
We are specifically seeking musical theater actors that can sing. Be prepared with two contrasting monologues in the style of the show and at least 16 bars of your best musical theater/contemporary pieces.
*Come dressed professionally.
*Headshots & resume required.
*Arrive early to check in, as we're expecting a large turn out for this show.
*We will post a tentative rehearsal schedule at the audition, please review and be aware you must be available for entire process.
