Emmy Award Winning RWS Entertainment Group is seeking singers and singer/dancers for productions aboard Holland America Line’s luxury ships as well as the 2018 summer resident shows at Hersheypark.

Open Call for Singers and Singer/Dancers (Union/Non-Union) will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10am (Females) and 2pm (Males) at Pearl Studios, 500 8th Avenue (btwn 35th and 36th Sts), 4th Floor, NYC.

SEEKING

FOR HOLLAND AMERICA LINE:

MALE SINGERS & SINGER/DANCERS: Any ethnicity. Should read late 20s to early 40s. 5’9” or taller. Attractive, masculine performers who can command a stage and tell a story – think leading man. Sensational tenors and bari-tenors with strong falsetto. Contemporary sounding voices with the ability to perform pop/rock. Strong harmonizing skills a must. Must be comfortable with guest interaction. Must move well.

FEMALE SINGERS & SINGER/DANCERS: Any ethnicity. Should read late 20s to early 40s. 5’4” or taller. Attractive, mature performers who can command a stage and tell a story. Sensational belters with strong mix/head. Contemporary sounding voices with the ability to perform pop/rock. Strong harmonizing skills a must. Must be comfortable with guest interaction. Must move well.

FOR HERSHEYPARK:

ONCE UPON… (Music Box Theater)

WITCH [FEMALE LEAD]: Powerful, forceful, imposing. Contemporary pop mix/belt with an edge. Mover.
CINDERELLA [FEMALE LEAD]: Soft and pretty with a modern mindset, not Disney. Strong contemporary pop mix with no edge. Mover.
ALICE [FEMALE LEAD]: Precocious, cute, upper-class with wide-eyed wonderment. Contemporary pop mix/belt, no edge. Ideally 5’3” or below. Singer/Strong Mover or Dancer.
LITTLE RED [FEMALE SUPPORTING]: Confident character dancer/actor full of sassy fun. Does not need sing well.
PRINCE [MALE LEAD]: Winsome and handsome. Contemporary bari/tenor with a smooth pop quality. Mover.
MAD HATTER [MALE LEAD] Wacky, confident, dramatic, a natural comedian who can portray the role without the benefit of dialogue. Strong Mover. Contemporary pop tenor with some vocal “tricks” (high falsetto or riffing).
WOLF [MALE LEAD] A true triple threat with non-intimidating sex appeal and comic abilities, think Rum-Tum-Tugger. Contemporary Bari/Tenor with an edge. Comfortable with “rap” style lyrics as well.
WHITE RABBIT [MALE SUPPORTING] High energy triple threat. Comfortable with character work and singing in an upper range but does not need to sound trained.
ENSEMBLE [MALE and FEMALE]: Dancers/Singers comfortable with acting, character work, and short vocal solos.
SWINGS [MALE and FEMALE]: Males and Females to cover above tracks.

THE GOOD TIME (Country Grill)

SINGER/DANCERS [MALE and FEMALE LEADS]: Early 20s to 30s, engaging performers with strong country/pop vocals and energetic dance ability. Appealing triple threat performers to believably portray inhabitants of a typical American diner.

PREPARATION

Prepare 16 bars of a pop/rock or contemporary musical theatre song showing range and personality. Bring sheet music in correct key; accompanist will be provided. Bring headshot and resume stapled together. You may be called back to move later the same day; bring dance clothes/shoes.

Callbacks will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

CONTRACT DETAILS

For Holland America Line:
Casting will be ongoing throughout 2018. Worldwide itineraries. No cruise staff duties. Rehearsals in NYC.
Pay Rate: $900-$1,200/week. Union/Non-union. Travel and lodging provided.

For Hersheypark:
Hershey, PA. Rehearsals start mid May. Shows run late May/early June through the end of August.
Pay Rate: $530/week. Non-union. Housing provided.
